Facebook Advertising vs Google Adwords – Latest Statistics

The war between Facebook Advertising and Google Adwords is going to pick up according to an interesting statistic from a newspaper article I have just read today.

Facebook targets $2bn as it overtakes Google

What is happening is that global advertisers such as Unilever, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble are already moving away from building expensive microsites towards constructing Facebook pages for their brands and accoridng to Ciaran Norris from Mindshare

Some of the biggest direct digital advertisers are shifting budgets from Google to Facebook

This is shown in that last week Facebook overtook Google for the first time as the most visited website in the US, according to research firm Hitwise, which clocked Facebook at 7.07 per cent of all web traffic, just ahead of Google’s 7.03 per cent

What this shows to me is that learning about Facebook advertising is going to become more and more important and tools such as what Ryan Deiss is teaching about Facebook – Facebook Ad Power is going to be huge. Give me a break – List Control Bonuses have gone “Out of Control”

What is this c..p. The whole bonus thing for product launches is now seriously out of control with everyone trying to have one up on their peers during Frank Kern’s List Control launch.

I cannot believe how many emails I have received from people offering some amazing material. Do you really need that bonus when you consider what frank is “throwing in” with List Control i.e. JV Control, Product Control and Copy Control. Frank says this too!

Ryan Deiss’s Facebook Ad Power is selling fast

I have been reading a bit more about Facebook Ad Power and there is a bit of hype going on about this latest advertising course from Ryan Deiss but I do not like his new domain name he is using for this product http://www.newtraffichoneyhole.com - sounds wrong to me!

It seems that he may have hit on a new PPC method(not really new but the 1st to seriosuly promote the use of it) but we’ll wait and see what happens when the hype wears down and we can get some serious case studies. For now the only statistics I have are from Ryan and those on the Facebook website but when you think of the potential it is pretty huge

1. Facebook gets 39,000,000,000 (billion) page views every month
2. Facebook ads convert considerably higher that Googles at usually HALF the price or less
3. Facebook loves affiliates and lets them advertise not like Google

When you look at it like this, facebook advertising MAY well be a new way of advertising and can compete to some extent with Google PPC all be it on a smaller scale as people are not directly searching for a product in Facebook compared to a search engine.
