Andy Jenkins – Great blog post – “If I had to start over from scratch”

It’s not often I read all of a blog post from some of the internet marketers out there but this post from Andy Jenkins gave a ton of advice and is thoroughly recommended to read. I have taken out the 7 key points that Andy talked about about how he began again after leaving StomperNet and it is very insightful into what anyone can do and also looking at Andy as a person

1. Blog – The first site I built once I was on the west coast and settled in was I needed a place for people who knew me to find me again. And I needed a place for people to discover me. Having been on the web since before blogs existed, I have to say it’s my preferred “personality platform” nowadays. I can post my content, get comments, branch off into social sites like twitter, and build my list, right from the same site.
GAVIN Comment– Blogs and particularly using WordPress is the absolute must way to use the Internet now. If I can be blunt – other systems such  as Drupal and Joomla just do not cut it and the days of just HTML are long gone.

2. List – As I mentioned above, if you want true leverage in an online business, you can’t depend on traffic sources you don’t control directly. They always say “the money is in the list” and dang if “they” aren’t right in this case. The very 2nd thing I did on my blog was to add a list opt-in and start getting subscribers

3. Content – Obviously, a blog is no good without content. So I did a couple of rock-solid freebies that proved VERY popular out there on the web. I posted them to the blog, and I emailed my list to come and get it and share it. It worked. Bigtime! I’m talking about a list of 10K subscribers built BEFORE I ever got ready to launch Video Boss, built entirely on the strength of the content on the blog

4. Offers – Now as I pointed out earlier, Video Boss was far from ready all these months ago. I knew I couldn’t just build up an audience based on freebies because without offers being made periodically, people would resent being marketed to later. Of course, selling stuff and getting paid is a good reason to make offers, too. 🙂 Without anything ready in my own product line, I promoted some rock solid stuff that was in line with the values I’d already established in my free content.

There are things that I know to be important in online business, and I promote products that will help my students reach those ends. I promote the BEST ones I can find. But there’s an ulterior motive there too. The people with the best products being offered ALSO have high-quality lists filled with customers who care about quality… and are willing to pay a premium.

5. Product – If you’ve been paying attention this month, you’ve seen me launch my “Video Boss” coaching program. I’d been developing this in the background the whole time I’d been doing the other stuff. But you’ll notice I didn’t start with the product first. I began building an audience, and a JV promotional channel, and a list building platform SIMULTANEOUSLY.

The interactions I had with partners and their launches, and with my blog and list subscribers HEAVILY influenced the development of Video Boss. So much so that if I look at it now and compare it to my first notes, you wouldn’t even recognize it.

6. Repeat – That’s really all there is to it. I’m going to take care of this class of Video Boss members, and while I do, I’ll keep posting great content (like this) to the blog and email list. I’ll keep engaging you in conversation, collecting comments, and thinking about what my next product will be. I’ll keep looking for tools and offers that you can use to grow your business.

7. Be a good guy – This one isn’t required, sadly. There are lots and lots of fortunes built on slimeball tactics and leaving others worse off than you found them.

Isn’t that just totally open and full of honesty but also full of valuable insights and information in how to start an internet business.

if you are an internet marketing beginner, there is a lot to learn here and if you do not have the know how to do all this, just read my Texas Wealth Club review, you can take the info from here and apply their knowledge to do just this.

Fantastic Andy – well done

Texas Wealth Club Launch of “S.A.W.S”

I have just been watching some of the videos in the Texas Wealth Club launch of their new “S.A.W.S” otherwise known as the “Simple Affiliate Wealth System” or “Simple Internet Wealth System” and it actually surprised me as it was not what I expected at all i.e. affiliate marketing.

Texas Wealth Club is a new group by Matt Gill of Trafficology fame plus his friends, Eric Louviere(who does most of the talking on the videos), Justin Christianson and Jack Mize teaching you the step-by-step to making money online. Between them they have generated over $28.4 million in sales – i.e. they can walk the talk!

As part of the launch, the freeline is well and truly been moved with 21 days of free video training plus notes about each video and after watching the first few, it is actually decent material allbeit appears reasonably basic i.e. focused to internet markers starting out in making money online. Each day you get homework to set you up in your internet marketing business.

So far, I am up to day 10 of 21 – and the content is as follows:

  • Day 1: The Business Mindset
  • Day 2: Step #1 – Finding Your Niche Market: How to find the best niche for you
  • Day 3: How Your Strengths Will Keep the Competition at Bay: If you use them
  • Day 4: Finding Your Niche Market: Researching Potential Niche Markets
  • Day 5: Step #2 – Creating Your First Squeeze Page: An Introduction to List Building
  • Day 6: Your Very First Autoresponder
  • Day 7: Step #3 – Generating Traffic to Your Website: The Pay Per Click Methodology
  • Day 8: Step #3 – Generating Traffic to Your Website: How Online Communities Can Get You Tons Of Traffic
  • Day 9: Step #3 – Generating Traffic to Your Website: Leveraging Other People’s Lists
  • Day 10: Step #3 – Generating Traffic to Your Website: Our Favorite Traffic Source: Viral Marketing

Day 1 – Introduction to S.A.W.S – The Business Mindset

This is really starting you off from the beginning and the focus in this video  which is only 3min 20 secs is do not jump around from one way of making money to another – e.g. blogging one day, article marketing the next, affiliate marketign the next and so on. If you do this, you will get 10% good at each thing but never good enuogh to make money. What you need to be is 90% good at one thing and to stick with it. You will then see your results snowball.

I totally agree with the guys when they say Focus and stick with something that you are passionate about

The next section is some quotes from the main page of Day 1 – some of these items I really like – hence showing them here:

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that there is huge potential to make money on the Internet. But in reality, it does take much more than intelligence to succeed in Internet business. So, what is the #1 key to success online? You MUST have the proper mindset.

An “opportunity seeker” is somebody who is looking to make an unrealistic amount of money online, in an unrealistic amount of time, with little work or effort. They believe that there is some “magic formula” that will solve all of their problems and make them a ton of fast cash

In order to succeed online, you will need the following characteristics

  1. It will require your TIME.
  2. It will require some MONEY.
  3. It will require your PATIENCE.
  4. It will require your PASSION.

Only then will you see success. Your clients will sense your passion and trust you more. Your partners will enjoy working with you. Your business will grow naturally.

Day 2: Step #1 – Finding Your Niche Market:

I like the fact that they provide a workbook to assist here and they have nailed it on the head in terms of finding a niche. the steps are:

Step 1 – Isolate your strengths, skills, and interests
Step 2 – Ask others what they think your strengths are
Step 3 – Identify several potential niche markets

this continues on in Day 3 and 4 with the focus being to stick to your strengths and using tools to validate the niche markets all covered in videos namely:

S.A.W.S Summary

All in all the S.A.W.S system is looking pretty good and better than I expected. All the 21 days content is free so it is worth signing up on the texas wealth club squeeze page to get hold of the videos – you will learn something especially if you are a newbie starting out which is really where it is focused.

Affiliate Millionaire Video 3 Review

From reading Andrew Fox’s last email, the affiliate millionaire launch is going superbly. Sorry its a bit late but here is my video 3 review of the course with the information I have seen so far is looking pretty damm good.

Video 3 is showing actual excerpts from the affiliate millionaire course and lasts almost 36 minutes. Check out my affiliate milllionaire video 2 and video 1 reviews too.
I am getting used to his lilt now and find it very easy to listen to and comfortable, so let’s begin

Module 1 – What markets to focus on

I guess I am not surprised what he is suggesting as at the end of the day the key niches to focus on are the obvious ones, e.g. lose weight, remove debt, cure your health etc. Andrew calls them “solution markets” and from what i can see of this module 1, it is basically choose your market or niche to focus on based on Maslowes hierarchy of needs which I first heard about from Eben Pagan and basically the markets to focus on are around 3 key areas

  1. Money and business
  2. Health and Fitness
  3. Relationships

Why these – because more money is spent in these 3 areas than any other niche combined – scary really but not surprising as at the end of the day if you think about it if you have money, a relationship and are healthy what more can you ask for.

In the video, Andrew then goes into finding an affiliate product within these solution markets and uses a great case study and of course a great product being

How to find a great affiliate product to promote

None other than go to Clickbank Marketplace and find the niche to focus on. My recommendation is to find the niche you personally have the most passion about and then search clickbank products by Gravity with the highest gravity meaning the products that are being promoted the most which therefore implies are making the most money for the affiliates

Module 3 – Email Magic Trigger 1 – Story telling

This excerpt is all about one of the four magic triggers that Andrew says you need to focus on to write good email copy and the first trigger is “story telling”. According to Andrew this is more powerful than any other method which to me sounds like it is straight out of the Frank Kern Mass Control playbook.

The reason is that it engages the readers mind and keeps their attention longer in order to keep the reader more engrossed. Cannot fault Andrew on this point at all and spot on.

So what does this do for you as an internet marketer well, you will get:

-> much higher open rates – up to 80%
-> click throughs up to 50%. industry average is 1%
-> much higer conversion rates = TON MORE MONEY

this becomes a win win scenario for you and your reader as the aim is to get subscribers to thank you for sending the info on the product to them.

As part of affiliate millionaire module 3, Andrew then goes into a niche on golf improvement using his alter ego “Arnie Gallagher” and runs through an example email that he sends as part of his auto responder trail.

Each email should have a header tag as an example:

“Exclusive Insider News” On What’s
Happening in the Golfing World Today

The rest of the email is all very converstaional and story telling. Interestingly after doing a search for “Arnie Gallagher myself on google I found some sample emails from Andrew here which you can download to see his style of email copy.

Email copy resources

Notice the language contains golfing terminology and words that have sounds e.g. Plop for golf ball landing in the water. This shows the feelings and gets the reader to feel the story being told and the key is to sound humble

Module 4 – 30 days to automated sales

This module is all about email and the use of aweber. Not the bext excerpt I think as not really much content other than a “how do I use aweber” which is pretty straightforward.
Items being covered in this module are:

  • Best subject lines
  • Spacing and timing between email messages
  • Killer content for your emails
  • How often to pitch an offer

plus some advice which I thought was interesting e.g. use real world events to recognise you as the authority. One thing I know that all the best internet marketers do and is absolutely important – “Andrew is a big tester of emails”

Well that’s it from affiliate millionaire video 3 a review of three of the modules within Andrew Fox’s course.

Hope you enjoyed
